@Admin: Can we have a list in the Things to do area for players who need their birthdate added? That's something I'd like to help with, but I'd find it awfully tedious to go to each player's page, only to find it was already there. Thanks.

That's a good idea Dan.  I sometimes add a birthday when I'm on a page and notice it's missing, but I don't typically go through looking for missing birthdays.  But a list like that might cause an interesting name to catch my eye and I would add it.  From non-sport, I just tried to add William Shakespeare's birthday, only to discover that it is unknown.

Trust me, I have wondered about this one myself, but don't know if it would be worth Admin changing the formatting of birthdates just so we can add BC to one person.  Sounds like it would be complicated from Admin's end, and might even mess up the birthdates already entered (I really have no idea).

Baseball's 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter insert set "Mini Heavy Hangs The Head" has numerous figures before Christ, although only Caesar has a BC PID.  I just created a PID for Napoleon, and found it interesting that there is a 102-year gap between his two cards.  He's in a 1911 set and a 2013 set.

New features:

• You can now associate players with publication covers.  Thanks to DaClyde for suggesting this feature.  The covers will also populate into the player's page.
• If you have Level 7 access or above, you can now edit the card number field of a card.  Thanks to DaClyde for suggesting this feature.
• If you have Level 7 access or above, you can now re-categorize a set (ie. move it from Oddball to Food Issue) and update the "Total Cards" field.
• Additionally, if you have Level 8 access, you can edit the year and set's name.  Thanks to DaClyde for suggesting this feature.
• You can now browse names by Birth City, Birth State/Province, and College.
• An "In Memoriam" page was added.
• A list of names missing Date of Births has been added to the Things To Do area.  Thanks to vrooomed for suggesting this.
   

 Awesome additions to the system!  Now I won't get anything done at work today.

I've run into a problem.  When I move a set into the Team Issue category, it works fine.  If I move a set into the Food Issue category, the set disappears from the list for that year.

Another issue I found...I cannot edit the set name for 1992 BBM Japan, but I can change the category and set total.  I can edit all the other Japanese sets in 1992, except for that one.

The Food Issue problem is fixed now.  Sets that already have "Inserts and Related Sets" listed cannot be renamed using the new feature as it requires going deeper into the system to fix the problem completely.  A note has been added to the edit page to explain this limitation.
