Is it my connection or why does it take awhile to upload a Image?

Could also be your file size. Are you scanning at ultra-high resolutions resulting in huge file sizes? ------------------------------- It's Jimmy!

I scan at 300 dpi. ------------------------------- *Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.*

mine was set to 200 ppi, I had been resizing the photos wrong

I scan at 600 and usually don't have a problem with loading speed. Most scans upload in 30-90 seconds unless I am loading several at once.
