I need some clarification. There are listings for 2001-02 O-Pee-Chee and Topps OPC Parallel, yet I can find no differences between the two and various other websites do not seem to indicate a difference either. Are these in fact the same set?

The 2001-02 O-Pee-Chee are their own stand-alone set (as are all O-Pee-Chee sets) and should not have been listed as a Topps parallel. Admin will have to correct/delete the duplicate/erroneous listing under Topps.

OPC is a stand alone set as C2Cigars said. In some years it parallels Topps. In others, there are different numbers in the set, different players and different set numbers..

2001-02 Topps OPC parallel have silver foil stamping.
Two different sets.

If it's not on my tradelist, it's not available.

Thanks, reakins. Didn't realize they did that. Leave it to Topps to make things more and more confusing.

Reakins is right. There was a Topps set, and OPC set, and an OPC paralle in the Topps set with a silver stamping instead of gold.

That was a busy set.
Both Opc and Topps had 3 parallel sets- blue, red and gold (500/100/50).
And opc had a heritage set based on 71-72 (??) Opc design which also had a parallel set numbered out of 50.
Plus the foil parallel.
Master set would have been impossible. I might have an opc wrapper or box at home.

There was also a O-Pee-Chee Premier parallel insert in the OPC packs. Silver stamp foiling of the Premier logo on the front. Smaller logo also found on the back of the cards under the player stats with no foiling.
