That's a great story, aside from the lost cards part. If you sent it through USPS, constantly contact them to remind them your package is missing. I assume you had a tracking # just b/c of the weight. They will find it eventually anyway, but a bit of harrassment (say a weekly call) will keep it fresh on their minds and looking for it. I've been trading online for about 10 years and only had one package lost in the mail. It was one coming to me. It wasn't 400 cards, more like 50, but I was looking forward to it so much. It was all Ozzie Smith cards I didn't have. The sender and myself kept contacting local PO's and sort facilities. About 3 months after it was shipped, it showed up in my mailbox with a handwritten note as to what happened. The package had actually either fallen off or been pushed (by another package) off of the conveyor belt in a corner and sat there under the structure. It was found when an employee saw it happen to another package. There were several packages down there and they have fixed it so it can't happen again. This was at the sort facility about 20-30 minutes from my house. If I'd have known it was there, I would've drove over there. It hadn't been scanned as received at the sort facility yet. I hope your cards make it to him sometime soon.
