Hi All,

Seems like we have gotten quite a few new users over the last couple weeks (or maybe it just looks that way). In any event, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to what we call the best trading card web site available. We really do think that, and you probably will to, once you take the time to discover all that's at your fingertips here.

I do want to point anyone who is new to the FAQ page. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/FAQ.cfm I've been a member here for more than 3 years and I still reference stuff on that page! Also, this site is more than checklists. There are scans of cards (so you know what you're looking for, or to help you identify what you have), there are different categories to put the cards in your collection ("collection", "for sale/trade", & "want list"), and more. By adding cards to the FS/FT and want lists, you can set up trades or other transactions - the site has a fully integrated transaction manager to assist with putting the proposal together.

Like I said, there is a lot here - more than just checklists. It takes a while to discover it all. Take your time, have fun, enjoy it. And most of all - Welcome! 

Thank you, I am definitely enjoying it.  Just got back into it a few months ago, and then found this site....amazing!  If only this was around when I was a kid.  Can't wait to get my collection in and hopefully work on my Chiefs and Royals collections.  Does anyone have any suggestions on an "efficient" way to add your collection in the database?  I like to sort and organize by team, so I have been doing it that way.

I found this site about three weeks ago and have visited every day since.  I started by putting my sets and player collections on as best I could.  Have added a bunch of sets and checklists to the site so that my Daniel Winkler checklist is more complete.  Thanks to admin for bearing with my mistakes as I get used to the process.  I hope to put my better for trade cards on the site to work on some deals, but that is further down the line.

Welcome new members, and its nice to see some folks from my neck of the woods.  I think for the most part you will see we are all very friendly around here, and there are many things to do on the site.  When I first joined I spent most my time on the site, I stil visit a few times a day.

I agree-this is the best card site on the internet...I enjoy it so much I spend more time here than I do on my own website! (Which I've run for 11 years). Welcome everyone!

Glad to have all the newcomers here.  I joined around Christmas myself a couple years ago.  Found the site completely by accident and got hooked pretty fast.  Whether you are a new collector or an experienced one, I think you will all like it here.  There are a lot of experienced collectors here to help out, with a wide range of expertise, and the Admin/Admins (I still haven't figured out if there are more than one) are the best.  Welcome.

I have also noticed a lot of new members. Welcome to all of you! Hopefully you new members will help us contribute to making the site the most accurate card site on the internet.

Thanks to Billy Kingsley for introducing me to this site!!! I love it here. I just passed the one-year mark 10 days ago, but I have accomplished so much here. It feels good to add my knowledge to the site to add and/or correct checklist and player name issues, add scans for thousands of cards, and help anyone who has a question about something. I still haven't put a big dent in what I want to accomplish over time, but I think my 1st year was highly productive. Just being in the top-40 of the Top-100 Members list makes me happy. That lets me know I have done a lot of work on the site. I will continue to do so until I am out of info or cards/items to scan. That will certainly be many years from now, if ever!

New users here! Liking what I see so far. I had been using OpenChecklist for sometime, but it's been quiet for about 18+ months. Love all the images and depth of cards in the db. I can't wait to add my 2012 Topps Mars Attacks Heritage Comic Con Promo set. Also can't wait to get my collection inputed. Thansk for the great site!

Welcome to the site, feel free to wander and ask as need be there is always somebody here with helpful ways for you to do what is you wnat to do .... unless your like me and am still learning as I go. Enjoy the DB its massive.
