What should I do when a member does not complete a trade. This member messaged me on November 2nd that he had received his cards and would have mine sent out soon. He has not been back on the site since Novenmber 21st,nor has he responded to messages. Nothing but great positive comments about his trades. Any recommendations??? And the cards themselves are not that big of a deal if I do not receive them!!!

I would mention his name here in this thread asking if anyone that knows him has any alternate contact info.
then we would see if anyone might know him personally or from another forum or group...and maybe others with pending deals may chime in as well
thanks, mark

I had a similar problem with a member. She sent damaged cards, went unanswered for 2 months then pops up and states in capital letters that she is NOT trading at this time. That is probably why you have an option to click unfinished on a trade now. I'm just waiting on her to leave me a negative remark now because I left her neutral feedback even though I did my part and sent nrmt cards to her but mine I got from her are scratched. Well, you have a unreliable person no matter where you go.....

I agree with Mark. If the problem cannot be resolved between the two traders, then the "bad trader" needs to be made public so that other traders don't get caught up the same way. The feedback is a good tool but mentioning it in the forum is also good; teh more people see the name, the more they will be forewarned. There had been another trader who built a reputation of not completing trades on this site. The thread on him grew to 30+ comments and also identified him here using another name on the site. I haven't heard anymore of him since so I think (hope) he was finally discouraged.

Ditto to what everyone said. Post the member's name so no one else can be taken should the member show up again. There can always be a good reason for not being able to get online for a period of time, but not for being on here over 3 weeks later without responding to you! That person has almost clearly gone rogue and was just stealing cards while they could.

JMiller,
I think I had the same problem with the same trader. I know the 11/21 date because I keep checking.
I sent my cards at the end of October and should have received mine in early November.
When I returned home from Christmas they were in the mailbox postmarked Dec. 22.
So he sent the cards, although two were missing. Not a big deal on the time or the two cards. The big problem is lack of communication.
My conclusion based on previous positive comments and other things was that something happened in this persons life to lead to the delay.

I was thinking the same as this member seemed to be fairly active and involved in trades. Hope there are no personal problems that he has encountered, and as I said before, not so concenred about the cards, just wish I could have received a response. Do not want to give another member negative feedback when I have no idea what could be going on in his life, and yes Josh that is the member I was referring to.

Part of why I like to keep a dialogue running. I would rather let someone know there's a delay or whatever than have someone upset.

Well I'm curious then. What if this person I traded with tells me they have college and then goes offline for over 2 months, then comes back and instead of trying to fix the problem tells me they aren't trading? And doesn't let me know she got the cards or finalize the transaction after coming back? I didn't leave negative feedback, but I did leave neutral warning others to make sure they got their cards first. I got burned, I'd hate a newcomer to get burned and then leave. I'd like to think the very least she could've done was any communication to let me know she got the cards, anything.
