When it comes to choosing a team name for a player, what is the norm for this site?  Do i select the team/uniform that is in the picture or the new team that is written on the card?

• If the uniform pictured doesn't match the team listed on the card, which team goes in the database?

Sometimes when a set is released shortly after a player is traded, the card company doesn't have a picture of the player in the new team's uniform, so they use a picture of the player in their old uniform, but they'll list the new team on the card. In this case, the team listed on the card is the team that is assigned in the database.

The same thing applies to rookies pictured in their college or minor league uniform. If the player is pictured in their college or minor league uniform, but the team listed on the card is their professional team, the team that gets put into the database is the team listed on the card.

When you took the test for Level 2 permission it was outlined there. Here are the guidelines:

• The team named on the card is the one that should be associated with the card.

• If a player is wearing a jersey that differs than the team named on the card, the team associated with the card should be the team named on the card.

• If the front of the card indicates that the player has been traded to a new team, the team associated with the card should be the new team.

• Cards of players in their college uniform should only be associated with their professional team if the professional team is named on the card.
