Been making progress on clearing racing sets from the missing abbreviations list, but I'm stumped on how best to handle the remaining entries from 1995-2005. The items listed are not actual abbreviations; they're things like year, team, sponsor, nationality, etc. What's the best way to deal with these?
Thanks

Use "note 2", or if it's something really useless, just delete it and clear the glossary.

Can you tell us what set/cards to look at so we can see specifically what you are referring too? I've entered only a few Racing cards so I am clueless.

I looked at them. I still say it's stuff that needs to be moved to note 2, espically the variations in '04 Action. I don't even try to fix those Top Trumps sets, they always seem to be a mess.

Wow, great work so far!
On the 1995 PMC Formula 1 set, it looks like the Note1 field may have been misused, but I'll have to find some pictures of the cards themselves to know for sure, or how best to fix it.
On the 1997 Winner's Circle - Lifetime Series Dale Earnhardt set, the Note1 field is unnecessary. Personally, I would prefer to see the text from the red stripe on the card entered in the 'Name' field and just link all the cards to Dale Earnhardt. His name is in the set name, putting his name on each card entry seems redundant.
I took care of the 1998 Johnny Lightning set.
On the 2004 Action, 2005 Hot Wheels Racing, and 2005 Racing Champions sets, the text in the Note1 field should be moved to the Note2 field preceded by "VAR: ", and the Note1 field should be changed to read simply "VAR".
On the Moto GP sets 1 & 2, the notes seem unnecessary. Maybe the person who uploaded those checklists thought that there was a 'team' field available? I'd like to hear some other opinions on what to do with these sets.

They do that with nearly all the Top Trumps sets, putting the country in note 1. I'd say it should go in note 2, but that is a lot of work, or better yet, the person who did it should fix them.

I don't see Top Trumps listed, so maybe someone else has fixed them already, but it should be MANDATORY that the person who uploads a checklist with lots of errors be the one to fix it, or have their uploading privileges suspended. Unless it's a case where the rules or the methods of uploading checklists have changed since it was added.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I fixed those, and a few others with similar issues when I finished up the real abbreviations. Sort of burned out on this now, so maybe someone else can handle the last 18 racing sets.
Thanks

Most the of the 10 or so left in racing are fairly simple, someone left out the commas in AU MEM SN. Others I am not so sure about, like if they are MEM cards or not, like it lists gloves, firesuits, or tire. Would need to look up examples of the sets to see.
Been at the Non-sports for a while, and still some work to do there. Been jumping around a bit when I get burned out on one. The Americana sets have been a pain, the whole 2011 retail set is a repeat, besides the base set, and the gold, silver, and platinum parallels, not figured out what inserts would need to stay. Also found some sets have cards they never made, and others are missing. It's far too many to try to bother someone else with the permissions to fix them, will just have to wait until I get that ability myself.
