Has anyone ever seen their points total reduced?  Yesterday, I completed the images for the 1992-93 Parkhurst Emerald Ice hockey set and had a point total of over 42,200.  This morning, I see myself below 42,200, I believe a reduction of some 30+ points.  If there are things I did on this site that were not correct and therefore lost points awarded to me, please let me know.  But just to reduce the points without explanation, then just get rid of these points completely.  I know it is not about the points but most look at it as a measure of how much they contributed.

Yes, I have.  A particular example is when I added a small set and all its scans to the database, then realized it had aleady been in the database for years but listed under the wrong year.  I requested Admin to remove the one I added and correct the original listing.  The points I had recieved for adding the duplicate set went away.

Nope, no steroids here.  I would understand iin Tom's case and would expect the reduction for wrongful entry but in this case, the points total was already about a week old before I added all of the images in the last set I did.  Who knows...

And your images are still there for the Emerald set too.  It's not like any got pulled.  The set still shows 100% scanned.  Who knows.

Send a message to Admin directly and I'm sure it can be explained.

it's interesting that you say that,, this morning i started off to verify some names/teams and discovered a couple of the sets i had already completed converted back to the original status. I'll have to go through and do the Mark Verified again and in some cases its looking like I'll have to add the teams again. I'm thinking, when i was doing them about a week ago, they were doing system reboots, so its possible the program went back to restore date/time or it didn't keep after one of them

Or somebody updated a name or a team, and the verification needs to occur again.

i dont think thats the case.. it happened on more than than name/team and different insert sets .. and not just 1 or 2 within the insert set- was the whole insert set

As these oddities are reported, it worries me that since the last major reboot of the system about amonth ago, there have been many small and more significant bad things being reported or asked about by members.
