Just got word from upstairs ............ whoever is adding a PID to Sponsor Card can you please stop. I have has Admin fix in the past and as of this morning there were 23 cards with a PID again. Not trying to be mean or nasty but I asked Admin to clarify, Sponsor Card is NOT to have a PID. Thanks all just doing my part to help the DB.

Same for teams - teams do not get PIDs. Thanks!

Interesting, I don't remember seeing anything like that in the sets I collect. I agree, giving a Sponsor Card a PID would be like creating a PID for Checklist cards. By the same logic though, I wonder if they should get a Note1 abbreviation since, like a checklist, it is a specific class of card.
If somebody keeps creating PIDs for them, it sounds like they want to be able to filter for them (much like many members do for logo cards). Would having a designation like "SC" in Note1 give that functionality?

When I have a Sponsor Card I put the actual Sponsor in Note2, nothing in note1 as it is pretty self-explanitory, oh and someone has made a PID for "checklist" and "team photo" as well, they aint people people. ;)

I have no problems with teams not having PIDs. But I do have to ask, why not for those old style team cards that have a photo of the whole team? Like I said, no problem if that was the decision before I came around but honestly to me it makes sense. There are just team card collectors out there right? Maybe? At least there was one way back when we flipped cards against the wall at recess.

Don't think I disagree with you, I am actually with you somewhat, its just that as the site stands right now a PID is for a person, hence the P, or the T in a TID. Upstairs decision. We discussed trophies a while back and each of those could use an ID as well as people may collect trophy cards. Alot of times our ideas outpace Admin and it just takes time for changes to happen. And if they don't, like you say, it is the way it is. They make and enforce the guidelines since it is their database. =)

One solution would be the capability to list cards by an attribute or a Note annotation. Team photo cards have "TC" in the Note, checklist cards have "CL", manager cards have "MG" or "MGR", etc. So people who collect these types of cards can create Collection or Wantlists.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Very good point C2C, I am sure the braintrust is aware of it and it is on the list of possible to-do's.
