Quick question, is there any guideline for adding multiple notes to a card as to which note goes first? For instance, if there is a jersey card with a serial number, which would be the better way to list it? :
MEM, SNXX
SNXX, MEM
Or does this evern matter?
Thanks.

If you look at the permissions lists it shows an example in there somewhere but usually AS (All-Star) and other types of descriptives go first, then MEM then SN or PR.

I don't think it really matters, but I always put the SN or PR last.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

As particular as I can get about stuff, and how near and dear the Note field is to me, I don't really see a difference between "SNxx, MEM" and "MEM, SNxx". I know when I'm working on a set that already has half the data there, I won't go out of the way to ensure MEM is first or SN/PR is last. It usually works out that way, and maybe subconciously I was doing it that way, but it certainly wasn't by design. Generally, when info needs to be added, I just "add" it to the end of whatever is there.
Just as long as it's abbreviations and they get defined in the glossary.

always find it easier to keep everything uniformed.. alphabetical in a way (AU, JSY or MEM, RC, SNxx).. plus it easier to use the "add before " function if the RC's / SN's are listed last because within that set. SN's can have different numbering SN10, SN15 in the same set or half the set may have the RC's annotated. Just easier with the Add Before >> MEM,

I always use AU, then MEM, then SN. If any of those does not apply to the card, I leave it out. IF the card is a parallel of a base card in a subset (All-Star, Rookie, etc.), I leave the subset abbreviation first and add info after that.
There isn't really a standard on the site as it just goes by how the first member listed it. Any time you are adding Info, make sure to see how the other cards are listed in the CL before you add the info. Try to make it uniform with the rest of that CL and you'll be fine.

I think that subset info (like DK for Diamond King) and ERR/COR/VAR/UER should come before MEM, AU, SN info. That stuff is specific to the card or a run of consecutive cards (usually) and might get overlooked if placed in the middle of several notes. But MEM, AU, SN order doesn't matter to me.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Oddly I was just thinking about this the other day working through some 2005 sets. While I don't think it's set in stone anywhere in the guidelines, my personal preference is AU first, if it's autographed, then MEM, or JSY or BAT next if the card is also a relic card and then SN. Since we're dealing with mostly insert and parallels here the RC shouldn't be used, but there are sets where the rookie cards are autographed and/or have relics, Contenders Football comes to mind. Anyways just my two cents.
