Coming here from Zistle as well. I've made more trades in the past 2 weeks here than I made in the past 2 months on Zistle. I'm damn near giddy when I get an email notifying me of a new proposal. The trading has been great!
I think Zistle had a bit better user experience with navigation, but I'm getting the hang of this site. Glad to be here!

Halos, the only thing better in trading is someone trying to slip you some Bo football with all your Angels.

I'm plunging in with both feet and entering my collection here. It'll be a slow process -- I'm working backward in my Topps set run and have so far only done '17, '16, '15, and '74 (as well as my completed sets). At the same time I'll work on entering my other miscellaneous cards for trade, as well as my Olerud collection. Should take a while but it'll be a labor of love!
I've already got my first trade in progress, and if anyone else would like to swap please send over an offer! Thanks!

It was a pleasure to trade with you, and the wait for your cards is on going. Darn international mail. We have to keep it envelope size and small so we don't have to pay a lot to the USPS.
Does anybody have a better way to send like 20 cards to Canada? Like to hear it. My post office calls it a parcel and charges like $9.00 to ship it. It wont fit thru the simulated mail slot to call it a letter.

I recently did a small 11card trade that just fit through that slot. They set it up as special handling and only charged like $1.50. You could send two 10 card mailings out for $3.00 depending on distance and your post office people.

That is about the limit. I went to one Post Office and since he couldn't bend envelope he wouldn't send it out.
So I took it to my normal Post Office. That what I did once sent two envelopes instead of one big one

Robert,
18-20 cards, three of the wider flimsies, packed 6-7 per flimsy taped in between two pieces of cereal box board in a business size PWE. Your fellow Americans are sending me cards packed this way for about $1.60. Haven't received any damaged nor have any of them complained on the receiving end.
Just got those you sent me - someone sliced the envelope open to see what was inside but all the cards were still there on arrival. Probably Customs on my side of the border.

The description that Sandyrusty gave on how to ship to Canada is spot on!!! First time I shipped to Canada I learned my lesson with cost and customs. I've sent several trades north using this method and haven't had any issues at all since..

This works for small trades. Bigger trades are best in the 350-400 card range, whatever will fit in a 400-ct box. I just received a trade of 365 cards where the shipper paid $15.50 to send from Minnesota. If I recall, I paid about the same amount. Though it will vary depending on distance, it is around the $15 and under $20 all of the time. But I must add, it is all about the packaging; the smaller you can make the package, the better. I cringe when they start measuring the volume of the package, very inaccurately I might add.
On a similar note, I have found that it depends which postal clerk I deal with. I have access to about 3 different outlets. I have found one that is by far the most cost effective. At the other two, it all depends which clerk is working. It is worth experimenting with this. I recall another trader had brought this up previously where he only went to the post office when he knew a certain clerk was working.
