Congratulations to whoever suggested the card number shoud be the number on the card with the note 2 used to denote year and set!! See the reply I recieved from Admin below about the numbering issue.

For sake of searchability, the "CardNum" field should match what's printed on the back of the buyback. The year and set name of the original set can be added to the Note2 field or multiple set entries can be created for the buybacks in this matter to keep things separated:

It looks like my transmission was partially cut off. An alternative to putting the set information in the Note2 field and listing everything together would be to create a separate insert set for each set that was included in the buyback like this:

In particular, for this year (2017 Topps), should the color stamping be broken out, as well?
- 1986 Topps Red Stamp
- 1986 Topps Gold Stamp
- 1986 Topps Silver Stamp
- 1987 Topps Red Stamp
- 1987 Topps Gold Stamp
- 1987 Topps Silver Stamp
etc.

hmmm...I don't know. We could end up with a whole lot of insert sets. We have no idea how many different years they inserted. And then to break those down even further into the stamp color.
I'd say wait until we see how big a single insert set listing gets.
Did each buyback get each different color stamp? Are there 3 variations of each buybuck? Did 1988 Topps #125 get a gold, silver, and red stamp? We don't know.

There are 5 stamp colors: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Blue, Red. And I've seen back as far as 1971 and as recent as 2014 but my understanding is that pretty much any year is fair game.

How many years has Topps done this buyback program? Does each year's buybacks get a different design stamp? In other words, can you tell a 2017 buyback from a 2016 easily?
If so, I would say that each color stamp should get its own checklist in each year of (re)release.
