I will be honest with all of you .... the other night my pride was dented a bit and took it upon myself to ask one last time to have Admin clarify MEM vs JSY. It seems they have spoken ..... kinda .... I asked them if it is to be MEM could they please correct the Permission Level 4 information to show that it is MEM and not JSY. I was just informed today that it has been updated and JSY has been replaced with MEM. That was it. So with that one would assume that JSY is now not accepted as a usable Note field entry. From now on I will put MEM in and then enter Note2 to whatever is decided as a group / Admin directive. Sorry if I offended anybody and I am glad it has been put to rest (?) =)

I'm not offended. I'm in the MEM camp. I've always believed the Note field should be simple, generic, generalized notations. Detailed specifics go in the Note2 field.
Thanks to you for getting Admin to clarify.

As a strong, and vocal (thru typing), supporter of MEM in Note, and "Whatever else" in Note2, I took and will continue to take no offense to anyone who disagrees with my opinions on database matters. We're all in this together, and we're all here because we share the same passion for trading cards (and apparently the idea of cataloging the heck out of them). We have a lot more in common than we have differences. As long as we all keep that in mind, I can't see how anyone would ever be offended by simply disagreeing about a cataloging method. At least I hope we're all mature enough to see the difference between not agreeing on something and it being a personal attack. I've put incorrect info in the forums, and been corrected. It wasn't personal (I don't think it was, was it C2C?) and I didn't take it that way.
As Billy says, and I'm paraphrasing a little - for the fun of it.

Hey we are all human, we all have emotions, I was (and still am) not feeling well, also had to deal with other adult things and was, to be honest, grumpy. I respect all of you and will always be glad if not greatful for all that I have learned here so by no means take it personally. I was more stunned and needed to step back for a few and as soon as I calmed myself down a bit I edited my reply. So I thought it best to be grown up about it and admit my fault to all of you rather than hiding behind anything. I asked and got an answer and that is that. Now it is time to try to convince all the others the same. Just means I have about 500 Ranfords to correct UGH !!

Please don't correct just the Ranfords. Please correct all the cards in the sets. :)
Thank you!

Okay. In that case you can correct every card in the database AFTER you eat all your brussel sprouts.
