In case you missed it, Admin updated the Scanning Milestones list again - we just hit 1.8 million images! Seeing that got me wondering, how many days since the last one? How many scans added per day? So, being the complete math/copmputer geek that I am, I threw the numbers into a spreadsheet and did a couple calculations. Here are the numbers:

The last 68 days were our most active on average between milestones. That's an amazing number. Almost 1,500 images are being added to the site daily! We have been averaging over 1,000 images a day since June of 2014. That's almost 3 years of uploading an average of 1,000 images a day. It's almost an image every minute. (About 43 per hour!) Yes, we, as a community, have averaged uploading 43 images per hour for the past 34 months!!!! I'm blown away by the work we have done on this site. (Simply because also in that time frame, we eliminated the missing glossary entries, we've uploaded who knows how many checklists, and we've reduced the sets needing name validation by about 8,000 sets, among other fixes and additions.)

So, take a minute, breathe, and realize what we've done. Pat yourself on the back. You deserve it!

Revision: I messed up the calculations on the lines for 700,000 and 750,000. I posted an updated table in a later post. The DB did not hit a lull in 2014.

We are a fantastic community, I will certainly stand proud of our accomplishments!!

My happiness is that sinse Jan 01/15 I have added 544 checklists to date. That accomplishment does not take into accout all the Oiler RC and Ranford images I have added as well. And I am a knat in the scheme of things. Some of you guys are simply LEGENDS!! =)

Pretty impressive numbers! Thanks to all the other members that are helping make this the best card database on the planet.

That's really awesome. Best site on the internet! Within 5 years or less I'm going to run out of cards to scan, though. 

Very impressive and a testiment to the members here, lets keep up the good work and continue to strive and make this the best collector site.

Avsbruins, how did you find your stats?  I am pretty sure I had seen mine like that a while back when I was plunking around when I first started on this site, but now I am unable to find them again.  Thanks.

Sportzcommish, if you added 1 scan, you've contributed, and honestly, that's all that matters. Do what you can, and together, we all really can do great things. Keep contributing, 1 thing at a time. It adds up.
