Is there a break down some where on the site of how many points you get for adding scans, checklists, and such? I would like to obtain the 10,000 points I need to get the final permissions level, but it seems that I am not getting anywhere fast. I have been scanning like crazy and my points seem to never go up. Is there something I am missing? Thank you for the answers.

Checklists are 5 points. Front scans are 1 and back scans are 2. Packaging scans get points as well but I have never figured out how many. More than a card scan I think. I usually post them before bed and by time I wake up they are uploaded, but I never remember my points total from day to day. (I'm lucky I remember where I am from day to day!) There seems to be a points bonus for completing a set but I am not 100% sure on that.
Hope that helps.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. You joined the same year I did, I have 13,000+ points. You are doing fine, it just takes sone time. I would say adding scans seems to give the most bang for the buck. I have actually bought sets that needed to be added to the site so I could scan and add them.

Seems as though packaging images, publications, and other contributions like that are worth 1 point each.
There do seem to be "bonus: points that get distributed monthly based on other database fixing activities as I cannot go through my stats and come up to the point total I'm at. Point is, contribute as much as you can, and you'll be rewarded.
There are many checklists still missing on here (over 11,000 right now). They can earn points quite quickly.

Its tough to know exactly but I have been here for two years and still have not hit 10,000 Pts. I will tell you this for a fact, checklists are HUGE point getters. I have been adding hockey stuff for about six months now and my point total has over doubled. It seems the more accurate you are as well as being thurough you tend to get more. Don't know for sure but I have added over 600 checklists and around 500 fronts and 500 backs and I am just hitting 7500 points. But I correct every error I find and verify teams and names on every set I come across as well and all seems to make a difference. Just keep going and maybe we will both get that 10,000 soon. =)

I want to add something here. CL's are the biggest points-gainer BUT it seems like you don't gain points for a CL if it is copied from an existing one (copying a Base or Insert CL for a parallel version). I may be wrong, but I don't think so. Now, if I make a CL that has parallels, I post them seperately instead of just copying the 1st one I posted. It's not as fast if there are notes that need to be added, but still better than getting no points just to do it fast. Monthly points are awarded for things like corrections, adding teams, adding notes, glossary items, reporting inaccuracies, etc., but only Admin knows what the points are for those.

Thank you for the answers. I will keep plugging away and now that I know that I can get points for doing more than just scanning and adding checklists, I will start working on those things as well. I usually try to do some name verification, but I have chosen to do the wonderful world of Wrestling for that and after a few checklists, my mind is usually fried and I quit. I think bonus points should be given for try to do Name Verification in that mess.

I wish someone could donate me some points, like some kind of points welfare or something.

Alas, my yeoman's efforts to add birthdays for obscure tennis players did not improve my 267 point total....
