As I search and scan my collection, I frequently (too often) come across hastily and/or poorly scanned/cropped images which are already accepted. Sometimes it is a very minor thing, other times it just plain looks shoddy. In keeping with the spirit of ultimate accuracy on the site, I would really like to have the ability to correctly re-scan these items. If there need be an admin approval for each instance, I can understand that, but seeing these substandard images on an otherwise impeccably ordered site can be unnerving. Thank you!

I agree with Jon. I see plenty that need re-cropping. I have to confess that some probably are mine from the early days. I would be happy just to be able to re-crop my submissions.

At the bottom of the page, under account, click on the permissions link. There you can take tests and get approved at different levels to edit information. I have level 3 access and have been correcting names and teams for some time. There are a lot of missing teams and players with initials as their first name. Multi-player cards are the worst. I correct them and link them so the proper teams get credit for their players. It is tedious, but time well spent.

I've been doing that as well. Slowed me down on some scans for sure trying to put names and teams right. And NJ, Don't feel too sheepish. I'm sure I've let a few poor scans go myself. You get into a rythm and that can mess you up sometimes. :)

Yes, I have been fixing name and team names for a while. But I sure would like to fix my own sloppy scans. Yes, it's great when they cram four players on a card.

I could have sworn while editing one day, I saw on the card scan a phrase reading "submit new scan". But now I cannot find it and do not know where I [thought] I saw it. It would be a good feature to have if needed. Happy editing everyone. I am currently working on the Playoff Absolute subsets. Some of them are virtually empty of team names.

Redsfan, I also think I remember seeing that link too. I think I even used it a few times, but I might be mistaken.

You can only submit a new scan if you were the person who originally submitted it. But you have to rescan the card, not simply crop it.

If you have been given the permission, you can rescan cards to the site. I had asked the same question to Admin, as I didn't want to steal credit from the person that originally scanned the card. Admin assured me they still get credit for the (original) scan. I had also asked if I should submit scans of some of my "poor condition" cards (mostly cards that stuck together). I was told to go ahead and submit them, since the above was applicable. Hope that helps, Brian

When you
click "Turn Editing
On" you can "Submit
a different
front/back scan"
but the original
submitter still
gets credit. I
generally correct
the scans but in
one case there so
many I referred it
to Admin.
