And one of Megan's pc (66.67% positive Feedback) feedback says aka Sportcardcollector98 (25% positive Feedback).

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Very disappointing to see. What seems odd to me is that this person has started all three profiles with a positive transaction before falling completely off. Maybe an attempt to establish credibility? But then, Megan's PC continued to have a mix of positive and negative feedback. Very odd, but yeah, based on what I'm reading I don't think I'll be taking a chance if any of my wants show up on their tradelist. Thanks for the heads up Analog.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I wonder if these people can be blocked from creating new accounts by blocking thier IP addresses?
It might be a good idea to have a permanant Forum just to report bad traders. "Hall of Shame"

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

I've actually traded quite a bit with Shawn and never had a problem. We do trades a little differently than most though, in that he sends me stuff first then I send him stuff back whenever I get enough to fill a box. We're both happy and there's no timetable where a trade must be done right away. We also don't set specific card number limits or specific cards, just trade card types. He sends me comic book related cards and I send him sports cards. I actually have a little stack getting ready to go out to him in a couple of weeks, as a return for the last package he sent me back in July or August.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. When I first came on to this site, sportcardcollector98 had proposed a trade with me that went no where. He was exposed in the Forum at about the same time. A few months ago, Megan's pc also proposed a trade with me, initially very lopsided (in his favor). He already had negative feedback by the time I received the offer. I had responded that I was willing todothe trade but messaged him with this:
Now this does not eliminate the problem of your low feedback. I am still requesting that I receive your cards before I send mine out. I am only countering on this trade because (1) you had sufficient cards to make the trade worthwhile and (2) I hate to see a collector excluded from trades due to poor judgement in the past. You will find that the active traders on this site will either decline trading with you because of the feedback or will make the same request I am making here. I do promise to give you a positive feedback if the trade goes well; a chance for you to rebuild your reputation.
Never heard from him again. It was thanks to the negative feedback that I was protected. I continue to encourage all to enter feedback on your trade partners, at least till they are established as a reliable partner. And continue publishing these scammers in the Forum to expose them to all other traders.

Figured I would throw this out there. I received a message from the user being discussed here this morning. He said that if we ever had the opportunity to make a trade, he would be okay with sending first. Not sure if that carries any weight with anyone, but that's something. Combine that with Billy's words above and I would be willing to give this guy a shot on a small trade.
Yeah, I know that completely changes my above opinion, but hey, things change! :)

FWIW - my suspicions are confirmed!! I too received a trade proposal from this guy - he said he would send first, and he did. I sent my end after I received his. He does not have an address with his profile and his return address on the PWE had his TCDB userid as his name. I'm okay with trading again, as long as he agrees to send first! Perhaps he's trying to turn things around?? It would be great if he would straighten up with those he owes cards to from deals made under the other IDs!!!!

I am currently having a conversation with him about this. He also stated that he would mail first. So, I'm just waiting for his cards to arrive and I will send my portion of the trade. He also seemed interested in completing the other trade that we had done.
