The versatility of the site is what makes it so appealing. It is so much more than a site to track my collection. It is the forums, finding new cards in sets, contributing to the database, making lists. There is always something card related to do.

I like a few things about this site. I think the members are polite and helpful to each other - people are always willing to help. I like that the site is adjusted for members by the members. I also like the database itself for keeping my whole collection catalogued. Overall, it's just a very helpful site.

Can't say I dislike anything about this site; I like it all and really not one thing more than any other. Just a great idea by someone who did an excellent job in making it a reality. (I like to think he was another collector who got tired of Becketts.)

What everybody else has already stated. Members, features, traders etc...And as others have also mentioned the user participation in building it. We decide how it looks, works, and what goes in...unlike that other site that thinks they own card collecting.

On top of reinforcing what has been said, it's not the one site whose forums are full of "Hey look at me, I had this awesome break and all this great stuff was pulled and now it's all for sale....." That not a site for collectors, just flippers looking to make a buck; not contributing to the greater collecting good. I haven't seen that attitude here once here and am so happy for it.

This wasn’t worth starting a new thread, so I’ll put it here. I love the stats on this site. I would never have thought to keep track of how many cards of each team I have, but I found that stat here. And I was appalled to see my Cubs in fifth place on my list. (I collect sets, so the amount I have of each team is pretty much determined by Topps). I worked hard to move them into fourth — winning the World Series helped. And today, they moved ahead of the Cardinals into third! Boston is reachable. But the Yankees will be tough to catch.
(Ahhhh!!! I was just integrating some new 1968s and found quite a few errors. That's really not like me, but the point is that the Cubs and Cardinals are actually tied! (It's ok, I have a vintage Cub on the way)).
Anyway, the features here are great.

I too love the stats. And the set percentage completion. I reference back to this often, and refer to it on Cardboard History every time I do a post in the "Sets in my collection" series. My Nets don't even make my top 20. If I added up the three names they have cards under they would be around 12-15. I actually keep track of my collection by different parameters and recently created an Excel chart to track my teams. The main difference for teams is that I don't tag a multi team card to each team, it instead is tagged to the multi team listing.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I just got back into collecting about a year ago and haven't been on this trading site for very long, therefore, I have a lot to learn about the different sets out there and the variations. As a result, I admit I have made more than my share of mistakes when it comes to sending out cards from the wrong set.
I just want to put a shout out to all those who I have made mistakes in trading with and say thank you for understanding. Everyone who I have made mistakes with has come back with an explanation and understanding. Not once have I been yelled at for my mistakes and I'm sure you wanted to at times. Even the forum questions I have posted have been responded to with kind explanations.
You are all great people to work with and I appreciate that!

I really enjoy the combination of active forums and active trading. When I used another trading site, I completed many trades but the forums were absolutely dead. I'm also a member of another hobby forum, where it seems like a lot of posts are along the lines of "Here's my latest collection addition... a 1/1 auto patch fractor graded gem mint. Only paid 2k for it!"
Here on TCDB it's the best of both worlds: Great community, helpful advice and discussions that aren't about showing off, and an easy trading interface.
