If I take my bifocals off, small print goes away completely. (Without my glasses, I cannot read ANY of the words in the footer of the web pages here.) Even with them, I have trouble with a lot of the copyright dates. (This is why I use the card number filter on player pages to find out which year it is.)

It was when I could no longer read copyright dates that I realized, maybe I needed glasses. 10 years ago....

You guys really help make me feel like I am much younger than I am!!! So far, I have been fortunate enough to not need glasses of any kind to see clearly or read. However, I spend so much time driving during the night, that it really is starting to seem like I might need some help with that. In my entire family, my little brother (35yo on Thursday) and myself are the only males that have never had seeing/reading glasses. My sister (b/t myself and my brother) has glasses for driving and her oldest son (10yo) has reading glasses. Her 6yo daughter does not need glasses so far. My Mom and her youngest sister both have reading glasses and the middle sister there has been legally blind since childhood. Clear vision is apparently not a common trait in our family, but my brother and myself have very good vision. So, when copyright info and other small print causes a problem, I have some concerns. I really need to drop in on an optomitrist soon, just for the heck of it.

I'm pretty sure that I would qualify as legally blind without my glasses. I refuse to find out though because I have enough other health problems, and as long as my glasses are on, I can see ok. Last time I had my vision checked I was 20/1200. And that was a while ago. My doctor has been on me to get it checked again so I will in 2018. Without my glasses I can just see colors, no details. I've been wearing them every day since I was in 1st grade.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Spaz, not sure howoldyou are but when I was inmy mid-thirties, a eye doctor told me that my kind of vision would be good tillI was in my mi-forties but then it would start to weaken. He was bang on. I was 20/20 till that time. I was also one of the last of my family to need glasses.
If you haven't reached your 40s yet, wait for it.

Well I am glad to hear that I am not the only one. I'll be the first to admit I feel older than I am and trying to figure out dates on cards was a challenge sometimes.
Because she thought it was hilarious, one day a few months ago my wife came home with a giant magnifying glass which also had a light on it. She thought it was hilarious, but jokes on her as I can see the dates much better when needed!
Much like my usual fashion sense I'm taking comfort/use/function over any sort of design or look!

I'm not really complaining but I an 75 years old, have worn glasses for 40 years, have the lighted magnifying glass with the moble arm attached to my desk and there is no color difference on any of the cards( own, trade or in-transit) on the site with my computer.
I have had a computer(expert) come to my house for $200.00 to fix the color poroblem and I still have no color.
We will all do what we must to work on what we love.
Thanks.. Paul..

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I am watching one of those (a 30x) on Ebay. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I really need to get one. I'm near-sighted. When my contacts are in I have to manually adjust, move (usually my left one) to read any of the semi fine print, fine print is almost impossible. With glasses I often have to do the take off the glasses and squint adjusting the distance between face and card. When it is hard to tell if the copyright says 1988 or 1986 it is time for some vision help, better lighting or BOTH.

I'll be 40 next July. I've always had 20/20 vision, but haven't been checked in a while. I still look and feel much younger than I am, but have noticed age taking it's toll in certain ways. Especially when I wake up and something is sore and I have no idea why. Also, minor injuries (such as pulled muscles) are more common now and take longer to get better.
