Well, there it is, 50,000 points earned. A long slog in adding checklists, verifying teams and names, and scanning thousands of cards over the last 3 years. It took a long time to get there but it is nice to have a "score" on contributions to the site. Best is that 99% of the scans I have loaded are of cards in my collection (or lately, my son's Magic the Gathering collection). I did not "steal" scans from other sites or load up a checklist of the same back image for all of the cards in the set (like in Magic the Gathering sets) just to run up my score. Every card was scanned, cropped and loaded.
Though I still have many of my son's cards to sort through, I doubt if 100,000 points is within reach for me. It would take a long time to get there when I don't have the ease of access to the cards of the sport I collect, baseball. But the work will continue, one card at a time, 1 or 2 points at a time....

Congrats man! 50,000 is a huge deal. Scanning is tougher than people think. I spent a night scanning for what felt like forever and cropping and adjusting colors and in the end, I thought I did a lot. The reality is that is was like 20 cards. All the members with over 500 points are monster contributors in my eyes. That isn’t to belittle those under 500, any contribution is something I am thankful for, it helps everyone enjoy the site a little more. Thanks so much for the efforts!!!!!

Congrats, Bruno! That's quite the accomplishment. And quite the collection. All those OPCs! :)

Good on ya Bruno, I'll get there someday .............. maybe. Being the local hockey guy but only from the 90s on makes it a long haul for sure. I only look once a month so am interested to see what I have come Jan 1st. Keep them coming and enjoy your success! =)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Congrats on the milestone. I am just a few card scans short of 2000 and only added like 5 checklist of walking dead cards, so allmost allof my points came from scans. And as many of the previous comments, all scans were cards from my collection. I was shocked when I picked up a hobby box of Stadium Club baseball last year on the day they were released and went to add to the site and a few of the insert sets already had been completely scanned in.

Congrats! I knew you'd hit it soon. Every time I get to a new highest position on the list, someone comes along with a flurry of scans and bumps me. This time it was you and it was several weeks ago. I'm still a bit over 2K short of the 50K mark, but I should hit it before Spring. I let you continue on past me b/c I've been trying to add my cards instead of the scans. I'm almost done with MLB and then the scans will start again. I have done a few here and there, but nothing like I would have to try and get back in front of you when you 1st passed me.
