Card Identification Forum

New registered user. I am a museum curator working on the rehousing and inventory of a tennis-themed card collection. The note that came with these cards of Evert, Navratilova, Connors, and McEnroe is "Coral 1981 Champion of Sports." The backs of the cards are blank, in that they appear to have been glued to white paper. Holding the cards up to the light reveals that there are other images/text (not related to the tennis players). So, I am not even sure these classify as trade cards, as they appear to have been cut out of some publication. Has anyone ever seen these, and can provide more information? My various internet searches looking for info to properly identify them (and the manufacturer/publisher/country of origin) have come up empty.

First let me welcome you to the site, its always great to hear about new members.  With that out of the way, these look pretty cool and I'm interested in hearing if anyone can help.  I'm can't be of any help but maybe someone on here can.  I'm not sure who the Tennis guru's are on here when it comes to collecting but if anyone does know, maybe then can ask them for assistance.

I do have a question that could help though, what size are these?  That might help a bit in pinpointing where these might have originated from.  Beyond that, if nothing else, I hope this bumped the page so others can see it, and hope someone can help.  I also hope you enjoy the site.

I spent about 20 minutes looking for these online and found nothing.  Maybe they were just pictures cut from a magazine like you suggested.

The "cards" pictured above are about 3" tall.
