I have several 1994 Sportflix cards that have the upper right corner trimmed. It doesn't look like they are hand-cut. All of the cards are cut the exact same way.

Does anyone know if some of  the cards were factory cut for some reason? I was going to put them on my trade list but I don't want to if they are hand-cut / damaged.

I don't recall ever seeing any that had the top right corner cut like that. Doesn't mean they weren't done for some promo like a stadium giveaway. I really don't know.

Could have been leftovers that got backdoored and they intentionally did that in an effort to devalue backdoored items.

I'm not sure what backdoored items means. 

I wonder, though, if maybe the original vendor did what they used to do to discounted LPs in the cutout bins where the marking was a similar cut of the album jacket. Don't know why they would do that to cards, though.

I was thinking left-overs or unsold; like removing the cover from books or, like Joshua said, LPs. Think I'll stick them in my "bonus bin" and include them as "freebies" in trades when appropriate.

"Backdoored" means stolen by the employees of the card company and released (sold) into the market.
