Card Identification Forum

Hey All, 

New member here and completly stumped on this one. I've had this error card for years and have never been able to find any info regarding it. I search for it here and there througout the years and never come up with anything. So today I joined, and hope I found a place that could provide some help! 

It's a 90-91 Pro Set Hockey card. On the front depicts Eric Weinrich and on the back is Stephane Matteau.

It really is ONE card and not the 2 stuck together :)

 More than likely it is a printing error known as a mismatch. I have a football card with the same error. Unless you find someone who collects these types it really doesn't hold much value.

Those are generally considered printing errors rather than true "error cards" on this site.  You'll find some people collect them and some don't, but they're not listed in the database:

Very cool card, I personally collect these here and there as I find them interesting. I will also be a little presumptuous that Billy Kingsley on the site also collects them and I am sure he would be interested to, if you are up for trading with either of us.

Thanks everyone for all the info, and the particular clarification on it being a printing error rather than an actual error card. It's been driving me crazy for years! I always thought it was a cool card too since I could never find any info about it. Now knowing more that it is a random thing during printing rather than an error, it makes sense that I really couldn't find info on it.

This is called a "wrong back" and they will usually sell well on ebay (or wherever), but they do not get catalogued here as they are considered printing flaws.
