I recently received a set of what was supposed to be the 2007 Clinton LumberKings All-Star set from their store in Iowa. What it actually consisted of was the team picture card above of the eight LumberKings who made the All-Star Team plus six of the update set cards from that year, none of whom are the All-Stars. My guess would be that Grandstand issued these All-Star team pic cards for every team in the league as part of the update sets but I don't know for sure. Thoughts on where to add it in the listings?

My first thought is that the seven cards would be listed as the update set. I had the same thing a couple years ago with the 2013 set, where they sent me both the team set and then a few days later, the Update set (of about 7 cards). Admin had me add them both as separate sets, just like we do with Topps and Topps Update.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

What he said.
Update set, including the All-Star card. We can link the 8 players to it, and if you have any trouble doing so, let me know and I can help.

The update set already exists here but the All-Star card isn't on it. I'll ask to add the All-Star card to it. Thanks for the help.

Does someone have access to a comprehensive listing of minor league or all of a player's cards? My thought is that the checklist for this update set is incorrect. The cards listed with an "AS" after them may not exist. I'm pretty sure what I rceived WAS the update set and those "AS" cards weren't part of it. None are in collections and searching on Google in various ways hasn't turned them up for me.
It could be that when someone said the update would include the All-Stars the cards were set up without the realization there would only be this one All-Star team card and not an individual card for each All-Star player. If someone can't find evidence of them maybe the "AS" ones should be removed from the list until someone actually comes up with one?
If someone can come up with the fact that they exist please let me know. My attempt to complete the 2007 Grandstand Clinton LumberKings just for kicks and very cheaply will be on again.

I have seen this occur in other checklists where there were cards with multiple players. (I was working with someone else recently who wanted a MiLB set checklist uploaded and I was very cautious with him!) Since I had the full sealed set, and opened it, and reviewed the checklist, I knew it was wrong, and got it corrected.
This sounds like the same situation. Was the update set you received sealed? From the team store? More info, please! :)

Yes, it was sealed and came from the LumberKings gift shop. It was ordered along with a bunch of other minor league sets through the MiLB store, who then pushed the order to each ballpark. Unfortunately, this must have been the last one they had because this update set is no longer listed at the store website.
Before you do anything I'll head over to my local library today and see if they have any reference books that might clear this up. If I don't have any luck there I'll see if Barnes & Noble has anything on their shelves. I'll reply again this afternoon.
