I can't find this card in the database. There's a 1991 copyright on it. I also have a Darryl Strawberry card from this set as well.

Kep, I'll get these in soon. I'm working on the Star Co stuff - I have a lot of info from them. Do you have the full 9-card sets, or do you only have the single cards?
They were in fact issued in 1991, and the 14 players in the Diamond series are: Bonds, Bonilla, Canseco, Clemens, Fielder, Griffey, Gwynn,. Bo Jackson, Mattingly, Puckett, Ripken, Ryan, Strawberry, & Thomas. In addition to the 9-card set, there was a promo card issued for every 5 sets (so in the case of the Diamond series, there were 400 promos of each player issued.

Thanks from me also, vrooomed. I've seen the Star, Star Silver, Star Platinum, but haven't come across the Star Diamond cards. There are some Star Company sets listed in the "Oddball" section.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yes, and Star definitely belongs in the oddball listings. They weren't major issues as they were only sold to card shops and hobby dealers (there were a few mail order places back then). I was working on getting the 1922 Star Co series listed (and scanned) and working my way back to 1991, 1990 1989, and the minimal amount in 1988. Plus, there were all the "regular" issue single-player sets. My plan is to open all my sealed stuff and sheet it all, while listing and scanning it in the process. With the holidays approaching, not much time for doing that (it is time-consuming) so I hope to start at the beginning of the new year. Wish me luck!

I hope your noble efforts extend to the Star basketball issues as well, Vrooomed. Cataloguing them has vexed me for years! That's IF I am lucky enough to first properly identify them.

Jon, if you're talking about the sets from 1990-1992, you'll be in luck as I have most, if not all, of them. Now the mid-80s team sets, I can't help with, but they were in Beckett, and I think they are already in TCDB. I checked last night, it looks like I have the checklists uploaded for the 1992 baseball series sets (Gold, Silver, etc.). I have a list of the players in the 1991 baseball series, but I don't have the card numbers (I have to find my sets, not just my lists).
And Dixxy, thank you!

Thanks vrooomed! I appreciate the work you are putting in. I have three single cards - one each of Mattingly, Strawberry, and Puckett.

Kep - I hope you're not a "completist". There are 8 other cards in each of the sets for each player (they were 9-card sets, yes, planned to fit nicely in a binder page). Now that it's been over 20 years, I look forward to seeing those cards again.

Haha, no, not anymore. In my naive youth I was, but no longer. I pity any completest who gets into card collecting...
