Just read good ol
Expedia and Topps
would most likely
being the PTD in
USA card as they
are the American
company, but a
confirmation of
some sort would
make me very happy
because if that is
the case the #131
Ranford card in the
TSC set is
incorrect.

So we shall start
over .... my
original post was
asking if anyone
knew the difference
beyween the 93-94
TSC card and the
OPC parallel, I
noticed that both
versions are
showing up on the
checklist for the
TSC version. I
checked out a
Beckett thread and
it explained that
the TSC version
is "most likely"
the one with
the "PTD IN USA" on
the back, but
nothing there made
it black and white.
Anybody here able
to answer my
question?? It would
be a great help and
then if there is a
definitive answer
what do we do about
the incorrect cards
shown on the
checklist?

On the back, on the very bottom, it will either say
1993 The Topps Company, Inc OR
1993 The Topps Company, Inc PTD in U.S.A.
The first one (without the PTD in U.S.A.) is the American version.
The second one is the O-Pee-Chee version
I know this because all of the ones I have (from the US) say the first one.
I believe it's telling you that the OPC versions were "PTD in U.S.A" to let you know it's OPC. In the US one would assume they were, so when it says it is, it's telling you that it's Canadian.
Hope that helps!

What he ^ says. We have all the Steve Yzerman cards from then, and that seems to be how it went.

Yes, I'm sure one note to admin with all the incorrect listings would be best.

Just a side note, I have not yet found card #240 Vincent Damphouse without "PTD in U.S.A." and suspect that is a UER. If anyone can prove othewise, please let me know.
