So I stumbled across these cards that Hallmark made for their Paw Star Game. There are 30 cards all featuring a different feline. My question is would these go in non-sport, or in baseball. I have doubt because they are all baseball related so its possible they could go into baseball.
The Hallmark site has a picture of 30 cards (I assume that's the full set) and you can buy packs for 5 bucks a pack. I think its kinda cool but a little too much.

My vote is non-sport. I have no idea what the paw star game is, but I refuse to believe that this cat can hold a bat.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

That cat, with it's small strike zone could at least get to first base. From there, it's up in the air. Maybe the third base coach would have to jiggle treats or something.
Non-sport should mean there are no sports to be seen anywhere on the card. I'm seeing baseballs on there and even a team name, albeit fictitious. The only thing that's throwing it off is the position on back. There's no 1st Beast in real baseball.

Non-sport. Jimmyjam, if I take your reasoning, should we move the 1987/88 Alf Bouillabaseball sets to baseball?

Bouillabaseball is in insert set under a non-sport set, so definitely not.
Plus Bouillabaseball is not the same sport as Baseball as they're launching fish around.
Thinking from the perspective of someone who might have these cards and searching for them in the database, they're thinking, "I have baseball cards with cats on them." So the natural inclination might be to look under baseball. Non-sport seems counterintuitive as they are sports related. The only thing that is making me reconsider is the "first beast" position on back. As this position doesn't exist in real baseball, now we're talking about some offshoot sport.

I would have to join the bandwagon of non-sport. Although I understand jimmyjam's reasoning of someone looking in "sport" first when trying to add to their collection, hopefully they would check "non-sport" before creating a checklist in baseball. To me a sports card is a real person and a real sport together. The one exception (to which I agree) is for "sports pun" cards that change a real players name for a real sport (NBA & MLB sets come to mind). My two cents... Brian
