Unliscensed yes. I call them Sketch Cards. "Original" art cards. Usually based on a real photograph. This particular artist makes a sketch card and produces a limited run of "print copies" from his original. He serial numbers the print runs and limits them to only 5 or 10. I've gotten a couple from him a Bryce Harper and a Sammy Baugh. I have bid on a couple of nice looking Frank Howard cards but was always outbid on those. My only problem with his style is he likes to have multicolored backgrounds sometimes with bright neon colors that look like lava lamp oil paintings. I think he also does commisioned 1/1 prints.
For purposes of the database they SHOULD NOT be included. They could also be considered "custom cards".
I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies).
My Trade List is very much a work in progress
