Card Identification Forum

        I can't find this in the Data Base. The set is only to # 150 not # 165. Does anyone know anything about this card?   Thanks for all your help.   

   All the 1997 Collector's Edge Excaliber # 1 thru # 150 have the same dragon on the top of the card, the only thing is that they don't go to # 165.

This is a really weird one! The only Collector's Edge Jim Everett card that I can find listed with #165 is from 1997 C.E.. Masters, but the design for that set is completely different - front and back. He was also in the 1997 C.E. Extreme set but card #140 and also completely different designs. Maybe this is some kind of rare Promo, but that doesn't quite seem to fit either. I am confused on this one too!

Your mis-spelling of "Excalibur" led me down a longer path. I should have known that it was spelled wrong. However, I still don't have an exact answer for you. I think it was a Promo card like the Kerry Collins card. Collins' promo is listed as #7 everywhere I look, but his base card was #19. It also could have been a Preview card released in another brand, but not listed anywhere that I can find. That was really common from 1994 to around 1999.
