It is an unlicensed "Broder" type card.

By "Broder" type, you just mean unlicensed, correct? That's not too helpful. I don't think it's actually Broder.

A lot of these types were created by fly by night companies or dealers trying to make a buck off unknowing collectors.
Broder was one of the biggest producers of these unlicensed products. It's almost like Xerox (photocopy), Band-Aid (adhesive bandage), and Kleenex (tissue) when speaking of these. Most people refer to them by Broder as the generic catch-all for unlicensed cards.

Yes, I know about Broder cards and unlicensed cards. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what kind of unidentified, unlicensed card this is? If you don't know, you don't know.

Can't help with the card, but I knew I had seen the picture before. Photo comes from a poster.

They didn't want anyone to know who made it beacause it would create a trail for the copyright lawyers to follow. If there was an "Unlicensed <insert sport here> Cards" category people could just dump these in them. There are tons of them for every sport. I might want one if I collected Griffey cards just for the novelty of having it. It could even be called "Unlicensed, Worthless <insert sport here> Cards" to convey their true place in history.

Ah, thank you! I knew I'd seen it somewhere, too. (And thank you, too, rmpaq5)
