I can't find Gerald Patterson in the Data Base and the only thing I find on Beckett is a card # 32 in a 1927 card set with no scan. Does anyone have any idea what this card is and if it should be in the Data Base? Thanks...

1925 Turfs Sports Records. Sometimes found as 1925 Alexander Boguslavsky Turf Sports Records, or 1925 A. Boguslavsky Turf Sports Records, or 1925 A. Boguslavsky Ltd Sports Records. A multi-sport set. I don't see it listed in the database.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Is it the real deal or a reprint?

I went to Beckett and typed in 1925 in the "Other/Multi-Sports" catergory. Thankfully, in this case, there were only 4 sets that came up and I took an educated guess and hit the right one first. Other times, I will use Google. Other times, I go to a few other resources. My usual order of looking:
- Beckett
- CardboardConnection
- BaseballCardPedia (limited to baseball only, and is still incomplete in that)
- COMC (include sold out listings)
- SportLots (seller's tool - lists all cards available to sell)
- eBay
- the manufacturer's web site (if applicable)
- Google
- Google Image Search
If I'm in image search, I'm pretty much out of luck. But, I have found some info by doing that. I will also use the sports "reference" sites (e.g., baseball-reference.com) to locate info about individuals and/or teams (team naming for that particular year, MiLB affiliates, etc.).

Thanks much for the info, maybe it will help me answer the questions before I have to ask the site.
How did you come up with the year 1925, I sure didn't see it on the card?

C2C said it was 1925 - how di he know that? He knows a lot! I'm truly impressed by him. So his knowledge combined with my internet search skills, voila!
