I am trying to locate a 2008 Topps - Series I Checklist (#2/3) in the database. The Link below is the card that is in the database presently and it looks fine...my card is marked the same as the attached link (Year/Series/No) but the differences are as follows: http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/89307/cid/6372254/2008-Topps---Checklists-2%20of%203-Series-1---Checklist-2?PageIndex=1 1. On my card, the word "BASEBALL" across the top is enclosed in RED and GREY circles - different than the attached, which seems to be a dark background all in one colour; 2. The attached lists nos. 249 - 330 and then lists several insert sections, stopping at the "Topps 50th Anniversary Team"; - my card lists nos. 291 - 330, then the same insert sections as the attached plus several more ("Trading Card History"/"Campaign 2008"/"Autograph Relic Cards"); Any clues are appreciated. JB

I entered the image of the card that is there now. I am at a loss as to why the difference. If you could upload an image of yours into this forum, it may help identify the card. Probably you already confirmed, but are the names on your card the same as the other, e.g. #330 is Curtis Granderson?

Not a 100 percent on this, but for other years the differences in the checklists was due to retail / hobby / factory set distribution.

I think rmpaq5 is probably right in his assessment. Not sure if any of the inserts were only available in the factory set.

I bought a couple of these checklist cards off COMC and they are both different than what is uploaded on the site now.
My variations are green and red. Bumping this topic to see if anybody has more information. Of course it is impossible to Google search for "checklist variations" because you get everything but info about the checklist card.
On the green card (left) the first item number is #297. This is Card 2 of 3
On the red card (right) this first item number is HA-GS. This is Card 3 of 3

rmpaq5 is correct, the one on the righrt with red circles is Hobby. It lists Commemorative Patch Relics which were only available in Hobby packs.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have Series 1 CL's 1/3 and 2/3. Both have blue and gray circles around the letters, just like the scans attached to the CL Checklist. I also checked 2008 Topps football and all 3 of my CL's have blue and gray circles around the letters. Since I have ONLY bought Topps flagship-set cards as retail, those are obviously the retail version of the CL. The red/gray are either hobby or factory set. I am leaning more towards hobby. Also, there was the HTA packaging which could have different CL's too. Are the multi-player cards condensed in the CL's that are different than the ones scanned on here? I mean, instead of 2 or 3 lines for one card, is there only one line for a card w/ more than one player that's listed on the posted CL's. I'm just trying to figure out how they could condense the CL's to include more cards per CL.

Ahh good to know, thanks!
Could you (or someone else) add variations for the red and green checklist versions?
