I agree it looks like Eddie Plank. If it's Eddie then the negative must have been reversed. The bend in his nose is reversed and Eddie was a left-handed pitcher. The glove appears to be for a right-hander.

looks like eddie plank to me - some auction company called me and said they don't think it's eddie plank - they think it's a random player from the minors.. but it looks like eddie to me

contacted a few auction sites now, waiting for them to get back to me.. anyone know of any professional sports memorabilia appraisers i can contact?

I'm pretty sure that's Eddie Plank. He has the same chin and eyes.

According to the Bixby app on my phone, it's Jake Gyllenhaal. I guess Samsung needs to work on its face recognition.
