Have a Karin Abdul Jabbar from this set that looks identical both front & back to the #359 of this set but mine has MD9 in the upper left corner where 359 is on the scanned card for this Set

Any insight would be extremely helpful..

Without any knowledge of the set or the card, I can make a good guess.  Sounds like you have a card from the team set. He played for the Miami Dolphins, so MD9 would be the 9th card in the Miami Dolphins team set.

Did a pretty extensive search but cannot come up with any Abdul-Jabbar or Dolphins 1998 UD Choice MD9 Card listed anywhere I looked

Many of the Collector's Choice / UD Choice team sets of the 1990s were like this. The 1997 Collector's Choice Tampa Bay Buccaneers set is listed with only the Warrick Dunn card on the database. Also, I can confirm that MD1 in this team set is Dan Marino. Bounty13 has it listed on his website.

Edit: The Zach Thomas MD4 card is listed on COMC.

Yes, MD9 instead of 359

UD did have team sets for most. SF 49ers and the cowboys (partial listing) are listed in becket. I did find a Zach Thomas card #MD4 on ebay which is the same as the UD Chocie #93. the team sets only had about 10 to 11 cards. So, now that you two of them.. just need to find the other 8 or 9 lol ... hope that helps out some
