It looks like Chainmail Armor parallel.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

It not just Panini football that is doing that just about all the sets from every card maker seems to give each parallel, or insert off-the-wall weird names. For the last almost 20 years it seems the only thing the industry for our hobby is doing is making things more complicated. There is practically no such thing as a "set collector" anymore because it is so much harder to collect a full set, JUST THE BASE.

I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42

Panini needs to do some more medieval research. If that's supposed to look like armor, it's at best "scale mail". Chainmail would be an appropriate name for a ring-shaped design. I'm rolling my eyes & Gary Gygax is rolling in his grave :)

Here's some advice that should help:
- APP
- What's It Worth - open it and in the search area at the top enter the items info (i.e. Calvin Johnson Panini 2016 then card # etc and tap search) this APP is free with a few ads that come up in lower 1/8 of screen BUT it literally scans eBay sales records and you will see actual sales that have concluded with the info you add to "Search" area. You can see numerous sold pages and tap one to see the actual listing that on eBay when it sold. You will see "This Item Sold" with a dark grey area beneath the pic of the item. Tap that and it opens the old eBay page so to read the descriptions and other info including what it sold for so you get a General idea of values too. You can tap the links in the eBay "Find Other Items Likebana This One" link and you can see others. Another nice thing about using this APP is that you can add things like. "PSA 10" OR "8" etc and find what it's sold for at those grades to get a better view of what values it's had at different grades. Its free and accurate in the markets value too. Did I say FREE, LOL. Try it and links below.
God Bless

PS- COMC's Sales are usually the most accurate and is a literal sales record.....
