Hey Bossman,
I just spent about an hour googling and referring to other sites I'm a member of and cannot find this card being officially "Autographed" - which tells me at least, that the manufacturer most likely did not have them autographed and sold in packs. There are a few cards like it or of him that are on eBay and you can see them there to compare the autograph to those so to possibly conclude it as real or faked but faked autographs are rampid especially on eBay. At one time a few years back it was stated by either PSA or BGS, not sure which, stated that 60% or more of the autographed cards people bought on eBay and sent in for grading were frauds. Now that was in a time that eBay was not as legally involved with the selling of possibly forged items. They're more legit autographs on eBay that are not PSA/DNA certified for sale that end up being good or legit etc due to the arbitration rules and legal agreements of sellers on their site. I would not take any 1 persons reply as genuine on this or for buying others in ebay especially bcz the sellers that have legit autographs or error cards etc have huge feedback notes about their items & reading those can add to your trust or not in the seller. As for this card, I cannot find it at all. When you search "96 Best RC #" you will get more sites that list the "Best autographs of 1996" in general and every sport too. Might want to look up the company's info and contact their marketing department and simply ask. So many people Google everything these days that it's odd to hear that calling someone would help but it would be easier to do and that company would want you to habe correct information as a collector or seller too, so the likelihood of them telling you it's legit, without a fact check is highly unlikely due to way comapnies can fall by a simple YouTube or FB post showing or playing the calls sound on the net which isn't illegal in most states. In Alabama only 1 party on the call being made has to know that it's being 100% recorded & they are not required to alert the 2nd party at all. So if you call and by default your the 1 that knows it's being taped, you do not have to alert the otherwise it is bcz you're the legally alerted party. I did this with AT&T years ago when ideas being told to not replace my factory defective iPhone with another but to buy a Droid and sell the iPhone. I wasn't going to chase that rabbit & they were a publically held dealer of Apple Inc's products align with Samsung & Motorola etc. I contacted the National Director of Sales at Apple Inc. and I told him the AT&T store was a representative of Apple at the "point of sale" in the market and thus they should never bad mouth or cause customers to assume they are without facts . He actually said he would stay on the line while I called the manager there to get him to repeat the statements so he would hear them 1st hand on a 3 way call. I called, they smeared Apple & he wasn't happy! He sent me a Brand New, iPhone 4G-S & told me that if I could hold off activating it with AT&T, Apple had agreed with Verizon to start selling their phones. He sent me the phone from his personal lot for corporate types etc and I could have sold it for 2K or more but waited and left AT&T with a $550 debt that I told them to erase or prepare for a law suit..
Honestly just told that Apple story to allow what I meant by holding company's accountable for their side of things which is not what most even care to do today at all. They want your money & to shut up about tech issues.
God Bless,
