Any info on this card? I'm thinking it's a non licensed card but I can't find it anywhere.

It appears to be from unlicensed 1990 Broder Rookies Superstars MVP. Not in the database. I can piece together most of the checklist from google searches. I think we have somebody on here with a Broder catalog.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I have uploaded most of the unlicensed stuff, but wait until I have a complete set to do so. I have probably uploaded 40 or 50 of these checklists so far, but I still have dozens and dozens of cards that are not part of a complete set yet. I have not been able to find a source for these checklists. It has been hand typing them in by Daclyde and gb24.

The biggest problem with Broders are there really is no limit to what's out there. I had gotten a few in trades and I'm not going to burn them (or shred them), but when it's players I no longer collect, my son takes them to fill up binder of assorted junk. Sometimes I think he just likes putting cards in pages.

Tim Peichel picked up where I left off on the tracking of obscure, unlicensed sets and it resulted in his site http://www.supercollectorcatalog.com/. He's still in the process of posting all of his research, but he's compiled hundreds of these types of sets, along with all manner of oddball sets of varying degree of licensing. He doesn't have that one on the site yet, but I suspect it is an unlabeled Pacific Cards & Comics set. They did a couple "Rookies Superstars" sets like that in 1989.
