Card Identification Forum

Here is the card i discussed in another forum. Cannot find the card listed anywhere. It is clearly not ryan wagner but is chris lubanski.  Thanks for any help. 

Foil misfire. Name on front is in foil only. Simple printing flaw.

That said:

1 - We do not catalog them here.

2 - There could still be someone who would pay a premium for this.

Just because we don't catalog these types of errors doesn't mean there is no value to them.

Agree.  Happens when the wrong sheets are loaded during the foiling process. I would guess there are quite a few other misfoiled cards.  Looks like at least one misfoiled name has been added to the checklist.

I agree with you guys.  But what constitutes something being worthy of being catalouged as an error.  In my opinion (which does'nt mean much) that Chris Lubanski card is far more worthy to be considered an error, than my two provided examples.  I mean....COME ON MAN (love that football highligt segment).  But seriously, what IS the standard?

The standard is this:

If the error is caused by a production setup issue (like the space between words and a period) and is subsequently fixed (like removing said space), that's a variation that gets catalogued here.

If the "error" is caused by missing foil, missing the back getting printed, missing the front getting printed, getting miscut, getting the wrong card back, or by getting the incorrect foil stamp on the card, it doesn't get catalogued here.
