Not to mention the owners are constantly trying to take a larger percentage of the player's salaries for themselves. I know that it was a big part of the NBA lockout in 2011-12. I think the owners now get 57% of the revenue, instead of 51%. They don't seem to remember that they need the players... nobody is paying to see an owner sitting in his luxury box.
Darrell has not posted since the hockey game ended...I hope he didn't pass out!

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. If you all want to hear about a bad owner, search up one Peter Angelos.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

ANYWAY, there seems to be an abnormal gap between the men’s curling semis, the bronze medal game, and the gold medal game. Anyone know why?

Billy I did pass out, LOL, fell asleep in the office. Knew from the get go that you folks had the jump. I went to bed and didn't even watch the end as I told the wife I don't do shootouts to decide important outcomes. And go figure a gold medal decided by driveway hockey, a farce. Congratulations to the US though as the best team won. Best coach too by the sounds of things, funny how rolling four lines over even in overtime works better than repeated line changes and benching your rookies. Desperate coach she was. And sorry I'm not sorry we finally let you have a medal after what 20 years. ;) And also congrats on the US men's curling team making it to the gold medal game. It is humbling when things dont go your way, just ask the US men's hockey team. DOH!!
Finally I would like to say this as a proud Canadian, I hope the Laroque girl never plays another international game in her life. Not only did she disrespect, the other teams, she insulted the presenter, the IOC, us as in Canada and too many other people I can mention. I have no time for an athelete that is SO full of themselves that a silver medal isnt worth their time. Her reasoning is a poor excuse. But hey I'm just a guy who cuts wood for a living. No different for that Swede in the World Juniors who threw his silver into the stands, nothing but a HUGE baby.
EDIT : As of 9:09 MST she has come out to apologize for not wearing the silver medal, now does she really mean it??

Twice I was in the finals once for Softball playing and another for youth baseball as coach.
When the winning team both seattled down after winning I went over and gave them congrats.
I passed along this from Paul Brown " There is no shame in losing to the champs" the softball one we lost in 5th and final game after 11 innings where last 4 games went extra innings. Youth baseball we lost because we ran out of pitchers available innings for the week to get there, and we had to use a under 15 yo that could throw hard but never pitched in years. and we said "Do your best., never let it be said you gave up"
