I think I would have to agree, though I might move a couple around though. I would think Joe DiMaggio should be in the Top 10.

Always tough to compare across eras, but I'd have a couple major adjustmetns. The first is that I'd cross off everyone who has been caught cheating (gone are ARod and Bonds). Pete Rose is way too high as well. He played a REALLY long time, but he had below average power and his career BA of .303 isn't among the all-time greats. Heck Mike Trout already has more home runs and has a higher career average as well. Tony Gwynn has similar power numbers and an average 35 points higher than Rose.

I wonder how Miggy not being Miggy over the next 6 years of his contract will effect how we look at him. I keep thinking George Brett should make a list like this but not sure who needs to go.

Am I not seeing Tris Speaker? I guess his career .345 is too shabby. My guess is the author of the list is newbie and does not know history of the game. Kershaw? Get out. The lists are not wortha further waste of any time. And if you have Maddux and Martinez, you'd better include Jim Palmer and Juan Marichal

I think they got the Top 5 right, thought the order is debatable. I would probably put Cobb first. I also never saw them play. And I didn't click the link to read the explanation , so I will assume the list is MLB only, hence the absence of Josh Gibson.
Kershaw may be a stretch. I don't think he is better than Bob Gibson. I might put Big Train and Big Six both ahead of Koufax. Again, they all played before my time.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I trust no list that does not have George Brett on it.
