The vernal equinox, I think it was 20 March this year. I think that translates to 20 May in the Canadian metric system.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

They are predicting more snow for us, too. Our flowers are starting to bloom. Hope it doesn't kill them. I like the cold and snow, the winter is my favorite season, but I'm still ready for spring. This is beginning to become a common refrain from me....According to the weather app I put on my phone, it's 27 degrees F right now as I type this, and it's not even midnight yet.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. The weather people have been talking all week about a chance of snow here on Saturday, but they are finally backing off of that and changing it to just rain now. The high temp tomorrow is supposed to be 70F, but now only 46F for Saturday. At least the Saturday forecast has climbed UP by 10 degrees since Monday. We did have a Freeze Warning for Thursday morning and have a Frost Warning for this morning. I'm getting tired of this! I really should be planting my veggies by now. Freezing temps just won't go away for more than a few days at a time.

Again, the temperatures you guys talk about blow my mind. It’s in the 90s F this week. It’s 77 right now at 10pm. I’m not sure how you guys survive. I couldn’t do temps that cold nor can I even imagine them.

The weather people have been pretty close to right here this season. They called the big snowfall several days in advance and with the small ones, they mostly just missed the timing on them. Being how tricky it is in this part of NC, they've actually done better than normal for the majority of the past 5 months. The mountains tend to break up lots of fronts and their moisture before they make it to this area, so it's hard to tell how much will make it through. The freeze-line is also very tricky here. It can move north or south with very little time to update the forecast from snow to rain or vice versa.
Ranfan, how are the geese up there when they've been living in my pond and the neighbor's lake for the last 2 months? They won't leave until some time in June. I've only got one couple here right now and a third one that doesn't look at all like the other two. But the couple uses the small island as their nest. It won't be long before there's a whole flock here to help protect the babies. The odd one is a brownish-white color with a bright orange beak. I've never seen him (or her) before. Anyone know what bird that is? It's about the same size as the Canadian Geese, maybe a bit bigger, but the colors are completely different.
