Not that he has any cards on here (looked and couldn't find any) but he still merits a RIP I think. Great actor. I first saw Bill Paxton as Emmet's(?) or Wyatt's maybe(?) older brother in the movie Weird Science. One of the great 80s/90s movies I lived on through my preteen/teenager years. Too may great characters to mention.

Sad to see another actor go in the last couple years. Showing my youth here, but the first movie/tv show I recall him in is Titanic. I recently got hooked onto Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, where he played Agent John Garrett in the 1st season. I went looking in the 1st season set and found some cards (episode, autograph, costume).

I think I'm going to watch Aliens tonight. His character, Hudson, was a classic!
RIP, and thanks for all the entertainment.

He was in some real good movies over 93 acting credits. If you have not had the chance to check out the tv mini series Hatfields & McCoys, Do yourself a favor and watch it.
William "Bill" Paxton (May 17, 1955 – February 25, 2017) was an American actor and director.
The films in which he appeared include The Terminator (1984), Weird Science (1985), Aliens (1986), Predator 2 (1990), True Lies (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Twister (1996), and Titanic (1997). Paxton also starred in the HBO series Big Love (2006–2011) and was nominated for an Emmy Award for the miniseries Hatfields & McCoys.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

He has some for his movies. But that's the problem with movie and TV cards. The actors get no credit, just the character name gets mentioned and a PID.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Really? We don't link then to both the character and the actor?

A few sets have been done. But it's not an overly easy process and has to be done manually. It's an area that needs improvement.

Agreed. I did a checklist for a TV show set and it is very time consuming as I had to go through each card individually to link the characters.
I think it would be neat if when a fictional character is linked to a card, a duplicate link can be made for the actor, rather than having to tag both.

So it can/should be done but mostly hasn't been. That makes sense. I misread your first post to mean that it wasn't supposed to be done that way.

I think of Aliens first, I was reminded of him being in Weird Science. I also had seen season 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I enjoyed his character on that. Sort of mixed with what they did with that character.
