Hey Sportzcommish, hope you and your family is doing well and staying dry. MarcBrubaker you too. Street flooding our only problem where I'm at. Cannot get in or out of the subdivision but house is staying dry. Best wishes to any other traders here in the Houston area or along the coast that took the impact this weekend.

We're fine now, Jeff, glad to hear you're okay, too. Had a scare last night when water crept into our garage, but it stopped there and didn't enter into the house. The water receded overnight and has stayed so despite continous rain. We're just praying for God's mercy as so many have not been as fortunate around the area.

Glad to hear you guys are staying dry! We've got a little tropical deal going on here in NC for the next day or so, but NOTHING like what's been going on in TX. The first wave of showers from it started less than 2 hours ago. We're only supposed to get about an inch of rain in my area, but the beaches are getting much more. The wind picked up this evening too, but not really strong. Our tropical thing is so minor that many of our resources are still set to head to TX to aid in recovery. I wish I could head down there to help too, but I'm not in a situation that allows that this time. I spent the first 6 months of 2006 helping people rebuild homes and property in Mississippi after Katrina. The people down there were fantastic and very grateful for the help. I wish I could get down there just to visit the friends I made back then and see how Gulfport and Biloxi look now. All available hotel rooms were booked up the whole time we (my brother and I) were there. Residents did everything they could to give us a place to sleep so would could stay down there. One lady, whose house and beauty shop we were rebuilding, gave us all of her comp's at a local casino to get us a hotel room there for 2 weeks! AND she would feed us supper before letting us call it a day and head to the hotel. We had so much going on at some times that we were also able to employ some out-of-work locals who had no idea when they could get back to their regular jobs. It was a heck of an experience that I will never forget. You don't mind the crappy conditions you are living in when you see the thrill in someone's eyes when the job is complete! I've helped with clean-up and rebuilding in NC after many tropical storms in my life, but I have never felt the gratitude like I did down there.
You guys stay safe and dry!!!

Glad to hear you are all good, family safe and so is collection and other belongings.
While Texas is getting hit and LA as Harvey is bring rain to LA upstate, it is pulling cool air from Canada to Phila area and NE USA.
If you have a trade made sure it good to mail them Texas a big place. From El Paso to LA/TX state line is longer in distance then Chicago to New Orleans. While you are freezing to death in one part of the state, someone else could get a Heat Stroke in another part of Texas.
Prayers and best wishes to all

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Glad to hear those that have posted are safe and not horribly impacted thus far. Hope all are so fortunate. My company has offices in Houston and they are basically shut down for at least this week. I heard there is more rain coming over the next 24 hours. Stay safe everyone.
