This one may be easy or not...
How many Intentional Walks did Roger Maris have in 1961?

0, probably mainly due to him hitting in front on Mantle.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Phew. Thought it might be a trick question.
Okay; which year did the Cincinnati Reds become the first team to hold first place for every day of a 162 game season?
Bonus: What 1996 Collector's Choice card holds this question and answer?
Hint: It is a card number between 100-250.

Without looking, I'll guess 1976. As for card number, no clue. I'd have to look that up!

I think that was the 1990 Reds. As for the bonus, I'll guess Barry Larkin.

Dan, good guess as the 1976 Reds were considered one of the most dominant teams in baseball history. However, helped by a 9-0 start, 1990 is the correct answer. The bonus, which is admittedly a very difficult question without going back through and checking each card, is actually card #111, Eddie Taubensee.
The 1996 Collector's Choice set featured trivia on the reverse of each base card, and that's where I learned a lot of my early baseball history. I thought it would be fun to relate a question back to a card.
nyygregory, you're up!

Yesterday Jacoby Ellsbury set a record when he reached first base by catchers interference for the 30th time in his career. Whose record did he break? Hint: His son also played in the majors.

Pete Rose??? Son had a "cup of coffee" one year. Just a stab as it seems his "personality" of on base no matter what would have him back up in the box.

Correct, It was Pete Rose. Ellsbury has set the record in a relatively short time. He seems to like to stand in the back of the batters box. Your turn rmpaq5
