Burned into a true Sox fan's head. After his Triple Crown in '67 and the heartbreak of that WS... Never mind the fact he spent a great portion of the season under that mark and only got there to stay in the last 2 weeks. Caused a rule change in the end.
Though commonplace now, this did not happen for over a century in professional history. Which team and year produced the first set of 4 teammates to hit 30HR each? Bonus to naming the players.

If I understand the question, the 1977 Dodgers. But they lost to the Yankees in an exciting World Series thanks to Mr. October. Cey, Garvey, Baker, and I can't remember the fourth guy...damn it.

I think 4 is Reggie Smith

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Correct and correct. It was the '77 Dodgers and between the 2 all 4 are named. You win a chance to, well, ask another question. It was too easy a question, I know. That's what happens when its minight. Thank the Blake Street Bombers for ruining their soel possession of that distinction.

The trivia thread totally slipped my mind.
Lucky coincience you asked this question. My son-in-law is a Yankees fan. One of my projects is collecting the Dodgers and Yankees cards for a 1977 World Series display to give him as a gift.
I'll do an easy one (I think).
He got the final out in a World Series, losing to the team that he would eventually skipper to their second World Series championship.

Hmm? This may not mean what I think it does...
"He got the final out in a World Series"
or does it?
I'm always tempted to just look up these things, but am able to withstand. I'll guess Mike Scoscia, thinking he "caught" the final out in a World Series. I know he's managed, but don't know how well his teams have done.

I know he led the Angels to a WS crown in 2004. I’ll say Billy Martin, although he probably isn’t right.
