Very sad to hear about Bobby's passing. There are few in the history of wrestling that could rile up a crowd like Bobby could. He will always be my favorite wrestling manager. So funny and quick-witted. I was lucky enough to meet him at a book signing in Milwaukee, maybe 15 years ago. He couldn't have been more kind. He will be missed.

Do I recall correctly that he managed Greg The Hammer Valentine? I definitely remember the Weasel and now I trying to remember all those he "managed." He was legendary during the years I was a huge wrestling fan! Very sad!

I don't recall Heenan managing Valentine (I could be wrong). I know he was managed for a time by Luscious Johnny V (Valiant), when Valentine and Brutus Beefcake were a tag team known as the Dream Team.

I remember The Brain managing a dude called The Red Rooster, who was a young upstart who played the part of Heenan's "Yes Man". Heenan treated him like crap until after Rooster lost a match, Heenan bawled him out in the middle of the ring. Rooster snapped and laid a beating on Heenan.
Speaking of The Hammer, anyone remember his short-lived tag team with Honky Tonk Man, managed by Jimmy Hart?
Man I miss 80's WWF!

The only autographed photo hanging on the walls of my home is an 8x10 of Bobby Heenan. Very sad to hear he is gone. He was truly the best. Among those he managed are Nick Bockwinkel, The Blackjacks, Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, Ken Patera, Andre the Giant, Rick Rude, Harley Race, Curt Hennig, Haku, so many others.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
