How about that?! Judge hit his 49th and 50th Home Run today, breaking Mark McGwire's previous rookie record of 49, set back in 1987. I didn't think I'd see that record broken.
Wait until next year. Should he hit under 35, everyone will be calling him a bum. :D

Looking at the HRs around the majors, it is obvious the ball is juiced. Not taking anything from him or anyone else, it is a simple fact they are playing with a super-ball. Go to a game and see how high a foul ball bounces off the concrete compared to prior years. Also, look how many pitches are now being hit by liners back to the mound. The ball is wound too tightly. Or maybe too much humidity in Costa Rica where they are made. On a side note, maybe MLB could help out of work Americans by bringing production back to the US.

Quick! Someone release a card commemorating this event! Then release identical cards, except they can have gold, silver, red, blue and green foil! And then there should be serial numbered versions! And at least five companies should do this!
(Sorry. Must be feeling extra cynical today.)

Vvvergeer, you forgot to mention the autographed versions, in blue, black and red ink.

No, they'll say he was on steroids this year. Any player after (insert year when you were no longer a kid) who has a really good year had to be cheating! Dead ball. Live ball. Low mound. Raised mound. Fixed games. Amphetamines. Cokeheads. Steroids. Corked bats. Pine tar. Wife-swapping. Bobby Valentine's mustache. A tie score at the All Star Game. There hasn't been an honest outcome in a baseball game since Cy Young played! Oh, wait, he (probably) threw the first World Series game ever played. Never mind...

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

That's tomorrow. For sure there will be one card, maybe autographs. And if he was wearing socks again, relics.
I'm putting the over/under at 11.

Judge has more HRs then Maas had RBIs that year. I will say it doesn't really matter unless they win in October.

When Cy Young pitched, they usually used one ball the whole game at least that's what I've read. No live ball in those years.
