So, as of Monday my home computer is giving me a "Server 403 - access denied" for this website, and this website ONLY. I can only access this site through my phone (but, only off wi-fi) and at work. So, it's either my router or my cable internet provider. IF there was one website I'd want to use at home, it would be this one - for scans and entering new cards into my collection.
Aside from trying a new router (which the one we have we just bought a few months ago), my only resort is calling my cable company to ask what the deal is. I'm sure that would be futile. I've cleared my cache, my cookies, and done just about everything I can think of without changing the router yet. Anyone have any ideas? I am going to lose it because I come on this site daily and enter cards in my collection, and now I can't and it's driving me crazy. I feel like I'm going to have to try another router just to verify that my newer router is possibly not working properly. Any computer whizzes out there?

I had issues like that oh about 6 or 8 months ago, it went on for quite a while then started working again. I was using IE11 and then had to switch to Safari and that fixed the issue. It started working again on IE a few months later and all has been fine. Knock on wood. Sometimes i think it is browser updates that do it possibly as well.

Try Google as your browser. Or any other you haven't been using (I have had no issues with Google but did with Firefox and Explorer). Then the other solution is also a shutdown and reboot of your computer. Amazing what that will often fix.

def agree with the above.. if you're using IE-- SWITCH to something else.. chrome, edge, anything. IE is the most corrupt browser there is and there isn't much or any support for it anymore. follow what is in that article, but with the holidays here, it could be the amount of internet traffic in your area too. it happens, i live in Orlando and yesterday had issues just uploading videos and pictures on other sites.

I've tried 3 different browsers so far - my usual Chrome, and FireFox and IE - none work. From HOME that is. I feel like it HAS to be the router or the cable company. But why only THIS site? That's what gets me. I've done endless Google searches on how to fix it, but nothing seems to be working. I'm gonna lose it if it doesn't get fixed soon. I've got cards to enter and scan, and they're building up.
I'm going to keep trying in hopes that it is just net traffic, but I'm not optimistic about that. Next is to find another router and see if that works. Otherwise, I'm calling the cable company. I've changed no settings or anything like that when this started to happen.

My son and I were discussing your problem. He's a software engineer and although not a IT guy he does have some experience with website management. His thoughts:
Since you seem to be the only one experiencing the issue it is most likely not a server issue but a client issue (a problem on your side vs TCDB's sid).
It's probably not your router if all other websites / web applications are working properly.
The most common problem is an incorrect URL or web address....make sure you are using the correct address and he reccomends not using a "favorite link" or stored address. Type the URL in the address bar.
Next is clearing the cache and cookies. Do this for each installed web browser.
Restart / Reboot your router and modem.
Check your browser security settings and any firewall settings. Make sure TCDB is a trusted site.
If all else fails try restoring your computer to the last date that you were able to access the site. It could be that an extensiion / update did not install correctly.
I apologize if I insulted your intelligence. I'm intrepretting my son's instructions and most of what he said went over my head and I had to dumb it down so it made sense to me.

I was going to say, do a search for Trading Card Database and link from there. I had a similar issue with outlook once and I had to get rid of my old link and establish a new one. But cnanagle covered this. It would be my next attempt to fix the issue.

Not at all - thank you for the input. My sister is a networking and computer whiz, and she's given me most of that advice as well. It took me a bit to realize it was just MY issue when I saw nothing on the forums about anyone having issues but me. I tried doing the manual address, and it does the same thing. The thing that I noticed the most, is it will only work on my phone when I'm NOT on the home wi-fi. That's why I thought the router had something to do with it. I reset both my modem and router to no avail. I haven't touched my security settings, so I'll have to try to see if anything looks out of whack. I doubt it though, but you never know.
I'll have to ask my wife or my sister about the restoring my computer. Thanks again
