Sheesh a guy leaves for a couple days to celebrate his birthday in the city and not one of you ungrateful card mongers could even send me a PM!!! I am terribly devastated, thank god that SCF, Spacecasters and Ford Ranger Forum all found the time. =P
Oh well thank the maker that my wife remembered!! Sent me out to my hockey shop for the morning while she slept in. My son "bought" me a 17-18 OPC hobby and my Yamamoto Young Guns RC. =D I bought myself two more hobby boxes two OPC (09-10 and 13-14) and a hobby of Garbage Pail Kids!! My first non-sport box ever. All three were on sale for $65 each. But my big find was at a shop in WEM, I found an old wax hobby drawer they have that is 30% off last ticketed price. OOOPS LOL Left with three hobby boxes there DIRT CHEAP!! 96-97 Donruss, 09-10 Fleer and 12-13 OPC for $100 total. Finally, I found these repacks of two packs per sealed hanger all are OPC/panini stickers and for $1.50 each. All different years of OPC in them. Weird part was I found them inside a Chapters Book Store in the kids toy section. 13 of them I got. And that was my birthday/black friday finds.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful time. (It sounds like you did.) I hope you had some ice cream. For me, it's not a birthday without ice cream.
Consider yourself blessed for having a wife that encourages and assists you with your hobby. My wife doesn't complain about my collection, or spending, but refuses to buy me anything hobby related. Thankfully her parents give me money every year for my birthday and tell me to go buy some baseball cards.
Happy Birthday once more. I wish you many many more with lots of hockey cards to boot.

At the beginning of November, I had planned to send you BD wishes but when you failed to send me some earlier in the month well then s**** y**!
How about them Oilers; scored 5 goals yet lost 6-4 to the Leafs!

I'm bad with seeing and keeping track of the members' birthdays on here. Like Billy said, if FB didn't actually hound me about wishing peiople HBD, I wouldn't go looking each day. And on there, it seems like I have 2 or 3 everyday, but I don't have that many friends on there. OH! They're doing the birthday each month thing tioo, I guess. :)
Also odd, is this seems to be the first I've seen this forum post! I guess it doesn't help that I use 3 different computers to access the site (so the link coloration thing doesn't help me - although I usually will go back and access the ones that were accessed from the other machines so it "synchs" up - using a very non-technical method).
